Pornography 1, 2…4, represents theatre experiment in
tradition of non drama theatre and a multimedia event. Final
subject of interest is labeled by local culture, but simultaneously
it gives the possibility of questioning strategies and freedoms
in the sense of human rights. Each study of sexuality and gender,
overcomes the debate about natural origin of identity, allowing
questions and artistic solutions that brings social construction
of sexuality in connection with concepts of sexual policies,
but also moral, crime and culture. Pornography censorship debate
is an invitation for examination of core values of modern democratic
society and culture. Although lust, sexuality, erotica, even
explicit presentation of sexual organs exist in many, if not
in all epochs and places, pornography as legal and art category,
according to theoretician Lin Hunt, "source of idea of
western culture with specific chronology and geography".
For this reason, pornography production in Serbia, beginning
late eighties, through widely available distribution during the
nineties, phenomenon that is going through new phase of regulation.
Between moral and crime, there is short history of modern Serbian
pornographic theory and practice. Anticipated length of one performance
is six hours. This implies that the audience will not be able
to see the performance from beginning to end. Also, this will
be made difficult by changing the media language on purpose.
The whole will be consisted of two works in theatre media, one
group gallery presentation of works (three artists), one interactive
performance that will use the means of television and internet
direct broadcasts, and documents based on research material and
participation of pornography industry workers.
