UMBRIA JAZZ is one of the most
important European Jazz Festivals. Umbria Jazz 05 shall probably
be remembered as one of the best editions ever. During the last
32 years there were just a few opportunities, when the Festival
Program gathered such an impressive collection of superstars from
the world of pop, soul and of course, jazz music. After America,
UMBRIA JAZZ Festival has started to conquer Australia and the Balkans.
This year, for the first time, the Festival shall be held in Melbourne,
under the simple name Umbria Jazz - Melbourne 05. Thanks to MULTICULTIVATOR
Association, Umbria Jazz also comes to Belgrade as a special program
of this year’s BELEF, under the name of Umbria Jazz – Balcanic
Window. The Program shall be organized in Belgrade and in Novi
Sad. The Project organizer is MULTICULTIVATOR – Service for
Development of Culture and Art (Belgrade) in cooperation with the
Festival «Ring Ring», organization ARCI (Novi Sad)
and Umbria Jazz Festival.
Umbria Jazz – Balcanic Window Program shall be performed
in Barutana on the 27. and 28.08., comprising of concerts
of the most current jazz groups from Italy, two domestic bends,
music field workshops, productions and round table on the topic
of multi-ethnicity, while entrance is free.
