During the age of Romanticism interest of artists and intellectuals grows for folklore, as a field of human creativeness which until then was not adequately valued. Flamenco guitar, created as a support to singing and dancing, has gradually, thanks to the art of performers, achieved a dimension of virtuosity, which is today renowned throughout the whole music world.

Professional guitar players were as first unavoidably attracted by the fascinating sound of Andalusia, and then of flamenco. The first noted and published flamenco music, as the first method of learning flamenco guitar play appeared in Madrid by the beginning of XX century.

Two Madrid guitar players, Rafael Andújar (flamenco guitar) and José Luis Martínez (classic guitar) are the first who made symbiosis of those two arts, two styles, creating a fusion of classic and flamenco, and simultaneously, a balance between those two sounds.
