His
education in Spain, Russia and Finland by Carlos Iturralde, Miren
Iñarga, Friedrich Lips and Matti Rantanen took place in
prestigious schools such as Centro Internacional de Estudios Acordeonísticos,
The Russian Academy of Music and the Sibelius Academy, where he
was predicted a brilliant future.
After winning first prizes in various national and internacional
competitions such as the "International Competition of Moscow",
the "Coupe Mondiale" and the "Concurso Permanente
de Jóvenes Intérpretes" of Juventudes Musicales
of Spain, his career was boosted.
Iñaki Alberdi has performed with the "Orquesta de
Radio Televisión Española" under the musical
direction of Adrian Leaper, with the "Joven Orquesta Nacional
de España" conducted by Josep Pons, the "Vogtland
Philharmonie", "Orquesta Sinfónica de Bilbao", "Symphony
Orchestra of the Russian Ministery", "Orquesta Sinfónica
de Euskadi", Orchestra of the Hermitage", "Real
Filharmonía de Galicia", "Orquesta Nacional
de Cámara de Andorra", "Barcelona Sinfonietta", "Orquesta
Ciudad de Málaga" o "Simfonicheski Orkestr im
Rachmaninova", under the musical directions of Alexei Artemiev,
Ramon Lazkano, Melanie Thiebaut, Frances Llongueres, Cristóbal
Halffter, Juan José Mena, Pedro Halffter or José Ramón
Encinar. He has worked with actual composers such as: Gabriel Erkoreka,
Jesús Torres, Ramon Lazkano, Joan Guinjoan, Luis de Pablo,
David del Puerto, Aureliano Cattaneo, Karlheinz Stockhausen or
Kevin Mayo.
The expressivity of his performances has been heard in concert
halls such as Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, L'Auditori de Catalunya,
Quincena Musical, Festival de Música y Danza de Granada,
Auditorio Manuel de Falla, the Kingston University, the Mostly
Modern Series in Dublin, Schauspielhaus of Vienna, the Opera
Theater of El Cairo, Instituto Cervantes of London, and in festivals
of Strasbourg, Moscow, Viena, Helsinki, Rome, Alexandria, and
others.
Currently he is a professor in ESMUC (High School of Music of
Catalunya), and in MUSIKENE (High School of Music of the Basque
Country), and he makes masterclasses around Spain, Andorra, France,
Finland, U.K. and Portugal.
He has been invited to participate as a member of the jury in
important international competitions, such as the "Internationaler
Acordeon-Wettbewerb Klingenthal" or the "Arrasate Hiria
International Accordion Competition". He has also collaborated
with the "BBK collections", the "Asociación
de Compositores Vasco-Navarros"and FNAC-JJ.MM.
Iñaki makes collaborations with musicians such as the pianist
Miguel Ituarte, the violinist Miguel Borrego, the cellist David
Apellaniz and the saxophonist Josetxo Silguero.
During the coming season it is important to point out the premiere
of the work for accordion and orchestra by Jesús Torres
with the "Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid", the
collaboration with the "Orquesta de Radio Televisión
Española" in the Baluarte Auditorium and the tour
of concerts in Dublin, Beijing, Spain and Finland.
Iñigo
Aizpiolea (Irun, 1978) commenced his studies of the accordion with
Amaia Lizeaga and Thierry Paillet in the Centre for Accordion Studies
of Irún. He continued his studies with Jacques Mornet, Professor
and Director of the Thor Department School of Music (France), as
well as with Friedrich Lips, concert performer and Professor in
the Gnesin Institute in Moscow.
Aizpiolea has taken part in important national and international
competitions with excellent results, among them First Prize in
the Guipuzcoa Accordion Competition (1989, 1990 and 1993); First
Prize in the Internationaler Akkordeon Wettbewerb Klingenthal in
Germany (1990, 1992 and 1995); Second Prize in the CIA-IMC UNESCO
Coupe Mondiale (France, 1994); First Prize in the Concurso Permanente
de Jóvenes Intérpretes (1996) and First Prize in
the "Arrasate Hiria" International Competition (1997).
In 1999 he has awarded the highest marks in the Recital Certificate
of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
In 2001 published the record "Colección Jóvenes
Intérpretes nº 8 Iñigo Aizpiolea & Iñaki
Alberdi" with the collaboration of Juventudes Musicales de
España - FNAC.
He has given numerous recitals in international festivals such
as "Festival de Música y Danza Granada", "Rencontre
European d’Accordeon" (Chartres), Iternational Festival
of Classic Accordion in Vilnius (Lithuania), "Quincena Musical" in
San Sebastián (Spain), "Ciclo de Música Electroacústica" in
Vitoria (Spain), "Première Festival dÁccordeon
Classique" (France), International Accordion Festival of
Kragujevac (Serbia), Experimenta 21, "Fiesta de la Música" in
Barcelona (Spain), Auditorio Nacional (Spain), "Conservatoire
National Superieur de Musique et Danse" (Paris), Salle Cortot
(Paris), "Juventudes Musicales de España", EMCY,
Radio Nacional de España, Radio Francia, Radio Euskadi,
ETB,…
He has collaborated with composers such as Agustí Charles,
Maite Aurrekoetxea, Francisco Lara, Sergio Gutiérrez,
Alberto Posadas, Sofía Martínez...by giving the
first performance of their works and thus contributing to the
task of promoting the accordion and widening its repertoire.
He has also been a Professor in various advanced courses in Zaragoza,
Cahors (France), Paris, Haguenau (France). |
