Festivals at squares are an integral part
of the life of medidval towns. Six centuries ago, Prince Stefan
Lazarevic, influenced by the western Christian world, it's
court customs and manners, polished and refined atmosphere
and royal blood, introduced the poetry of wandering knights,
troubadour songs, and theatrical and music plays by traveling
entertainment troops.
At each square in the city, from the Nikola Pasic Square
to the Zindan Gate, Mimart Theater members perform rituals
and dancse, thereby symbolically reviving the life in the
medieval Belgrade.
The MIMART Theatre is an informal research theatre founded
