Turmoil

The first experimental film in the Turmoil cycle represents an audio and visual requiem devoted to the hopes, fears, and defeats of people, the fate of settlements and regions where the author lives and works. The material was filmed in the period from 1988 to the present day. TURMOIL - a confusion, where the past replaces the future, the private replaces the public, and the sacral replaces the secular...

The film uses the sounds generated by reading Gospels in the language of the Cherokee Indians and the message to Serbian people from a monk of the Valamo Orthodox Monastery in Finland, recorded in 1999.
