A Golden City

Cities are like faraway, unknown islands, the places where utopias happen. Thus in Thomas More’s “Utopia” there is a mention of the city of Amaurot. The shots of cityscapes – streets, squares, family homes overgrown with creepers, with gardens full of various vegetation, are transformed in Arcadian and pastoral motives. The city we know becomes “an ideal place.” The video has an atmosphere characteristic of the French 17-19th century landscape painting.
