The Spectacles (2 min, DVD, 2004.)

The authors are trying on about 150 different types of glasses in front of the camera, that has the same function as a mirror. Although the eyed glasses are collected from flea markets in Belgrade, they are mostly with brand names. The glasses are from 1950s till now days . There are two portraits like magnified passport photos.

Mirjana Djordjevic

Born in 1967. in Belgrade, Mirjana Djordjevic has graduated on the Belgrade’s University of Art in 1994. She became magisterial in 1999.at the same Faculty. From 1994. till 1997. she has been attended magisterial studies in Dusseldorf in the professor Klaus Rinke’s class. Since 1989. she has had several individual and group exhibitions in homeland and abroad, for example exhibition “The Coexistence of Art” – Venice Biennale 1994. She won award in 16th Biennale Young Yugoslav Artists in Rijeka 1991, first gold medal (Ataturk Art Prize) in Euro-Asian art Biennale in Ankara 1992, Grand prix first Biennale of the Youth in Vrsac and award in Sculpture Biennale in Pancevo 1997. Together with Wolfgant Thaler she won awards Zlatni lav for “Women Know Why”, Fluc, Praterstern, Vienna, 2003.
