“Motherland is Calling On You!” is an altered propaganda poster of the Russian Army in World War II. The text calling on USSR citizens to join the army was erased and instead there is a photograph, quite simplified, of a Serbian logo razorblade-written across my chest. The Russian Army text containing concrete demands was replaced by a sign that does not contain any clear instruction. The call is still on.

Jelena Radic graduated painting from the Faculty of Fine arts in Belgrade in 2002. She has exhibited in several international group shows in London, Bologne, Chicago, Vienna, and Belgrade. In 2003 she had her solo exhibition in the Remont Gallery in Belgrade.
