October 2003, Knez Mihajlova street, street vendor’s exhibit of national insignia. Each organized society has a flag and flies it as a sign of unity. The flag is proper in ceremonious situations or at decisive moments for a society.

Matic Goranka

Goranka Matic, graduated in the History of Art at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade. She is photo editor in the VREME weekly. She has been a professional photographer since 1980. In 1986 she started to exhibit in the country and abroad. She has taken part in several one-man and group exhibitions, including the International Biennial of Art in Tirana in 2003. She has published the following books: “The Days of Pain and Pride” “Med Ryggen Mot Verden, Poretter Fra Serbia” (text by Asne Sieierstad), “Ten Years Against”, with Vesna Pavlovic, “Femmes des Balkans pour la Paix”. She was awarded several prizes, including the Prize of the October Salon in 1998 and the Politika prize for her exhibition “Quietly Flows Sutjeska” at the Salon of the Museum of Contemporary Arts.
