The basic idea of the project "The Balkans" is the visualization of the stereotype, which the West has for centuries cherished about this region – the stereotype of the Balkans as being a strange, exotic, and wild place, where "the others" live.

Ana Adamovic graduated from the Belgrade Faculty of Philology, majoring in general literature and the theory of literature. She studied photography at the Institute for Arts in Boston, the US. Since 1999, she has presented her work within several group and her own exhibitions in the country and abroad.
