During the on site intervention in
Kalemegdan Park, the author, using velvet royal red curtains on windows,
doors, and the holes of the edifice, warns of the history and the function
of this place. Through the visuality of the edifice and the multiple
opportunity of toying with it – where a visitor passes through
the curtains, the edifice becomes active and recives a new role, but
it also refers to both, historical and current social, political, and
global problems. The project “The Time Witness” was first
performed at an Austro-Hungarian fortress in Montenegro and then at a
Byzantine fortress in Thessalonika.
